Max GO Settings in the App Follow
Customizing the Settings of your Max GO device will allow you to enjoy your fitness journey to the fullest!
Through the app, you can control various settings and have them reflected in your Max GO watch.
The following settings can be personified in the app and here is a summary of what each of them means:
- 24 Hour Clock: This setting allows you to choose 12 or 24-hour clock mode.
- Measurement System: Max GO uses the measurement unit set in your app profile. You can find it here in read-only mode and learn how to change it.
- Device Language: Here you can select one of the 8 offered languages for your device.
- Lift Wrist to Light Screen: Enable this setting if you want to activate the Max GO screen by simply lifting your wrist.
- Height: Review or edit your height entry by tapping this setting, for more precise Max GO tracking.
- Weight: If your weight changes and you would like to update that info, tap on this setting.
- Alarms: You can set one or more (max. 10) alarms via the app and have them reflected in the Max GO watch.
- Notifications: Enable SMS, email, or calendar notifications on Max GO.
- Call Alerts: If you would like to be alerted of incoming calls via Max GO, enable this setting in the app.
- Exercise Recognition: Max GO can detect when you are walking or running if you enable this option.
- Heart Rate: Choose to have your heart rate measured during exercise, by turning this option on.
- Sleep: When enabled, Max GO monitors overall sleep quality and breathing patterns while you sleep.
- Device Information: Find out information about your Max GO by tapping this setting, such as OS version, Firmware Version, or even the Battery Level.
Now, let us introduce some of the settings in more detail and should you want to give a personal touch to your Max GO, here is what to do!
Open the Virgin Pulse app and select More > Devices & Apps.
Once there, tap on the Max GO device in My Connected Devices & Apps.
On the next screen, you should tap on Settings.
All of the customizable settings will be displayed and depending on the feature you would like to tailor to your needs, either a toggle option will be available or an additional settings menu, once you tap the option in question.
The Clock, Screen Activation, Exercise Recognition, Heart Rate, and Sleep can be turned on and off on the screen, by tapping the toggle button. When turned on, the button will turn purple.
You will notice that options such as Measurement System, Exercise Recognition, Heart Rate, and Sleep have an additional icon next to them, indicating more information for your convenience. When you tap the "i" icon, further details will appear. By tapping the "i" icon again, the text box will disappear.
When it comes to settings, such as Alarms, Notifications, Call Alerts, and Sleep Information, once you tap one of them, a new screen will open and you will be able to enter additional information if needed, or decide further what options you wish to keep turned on or off.
For example, once you tap Notifications, you will be asked if you want to allow notifications.
If you allow the notifications, you will be asked which ones you want to receive. You can turn all of them on or keep just the ones important to you.
Once you set them up, the Notifications and Call Alerts will start coming through on Max GO.
Moreover, when it comes to updating the Height and Weight info that you entered when you first paired the Max GO and the Virgin Pulse app, the steps are pretty simple.
First, tap the number you entered earlier.
Next, tap the text box to edit the current number, and make sure to tap Confirm to save your new entry.
When the new information is saved, a green checkmark will appear!
