Although you can use a virtual Visa gift card in any online store that accepts Visa cards, it will not be accepted if there are not enough funds on it. This is particularly important to note when a currency conversion is needed for the payment.
Other gift cards are E-Gift cards and are mainly used online unless there are different redemption options offered by a specific vendor. More information regarding this can be found in the description of each card in your Virgin Pulse account. However, the same applies to all gift cards, if there are not enough funds on them, transactions cannot be completed.
Also note that when using a gift card online, most retailers will not allow you to combine forms of payment so if you do not have enough on one card, the transaction might not happen. Please be aware of this when redeeming your gift card and planning your purchases.
